Obituary of Gordon Douglas Sheridan

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Gordon Donald Sheridan.

Gordon passed away on March 18, 2024 in hospital surrounded by family and friends following an epic and courageous sixteen month battle with pancreatic cancer, at the age of 52.

Gordon leaves behind his devoted wife Rhonda and son Parker. He is survived by siblings Tanya Hoeflaak (Chuck), and Troy Sheridan (Trish) as well as sister in laws Alicia Porter, Krystal Porter, brother in law Rob Porter (Kate), mother in law Margaret Porter, many nieces, nephews, aunts & uncles and many friends and family who loved him.

He was predeceased by both of his parents Douglas and Linda Sheridan.

Originally from Hamilton, Ontario, Gordon and his family moved to Cranbrook in 2017 to pursue new beginnings and adventures in the Kootenays.

Gordon was a writer by passion, and actively involved in local theatre, film making, and education.

Our family would like to deeply thank our amazing Doctor, C. Shilhan, devoted nursing team lead by Justin, caring oncology team at the East Kootenay Regional Hospital along with the home support workers for their amazing support.

We would also like to sincerely thank all of the amazing people in Cranbrook/Kimberley for their tremendous support and love.
