Celebration of Life Please join us in celebrating and honouring the amazing person and life of Mchayla Hailee Bonnell Friday, March 29, 2024 - 4PM – 7PM Location: Eagles Hall, Cranbrook 4pm – Arrival 5pm - Open Mic session will be provided for those wishing to speak and/or say a few words Refreshments will be served. Smudging The period leading up to her celebration of life will have a sequence of smudging's and offerings of prayer cloths for Mchayla. If you wish to attend, please advise us. “Letter of Offering” If you have unfinished conversations with Mchayla, or wish to share your dreams or your vision with ‘Mchayla, we would like to offer you an opportunity to write a letter to her. No one will read these letters. At the celebration of life, these will be collected to be burned with her prayer offerings following the celebration of her life. If you wish, you may bring your letter to Mchayla to the fire and burn it.

Mchayla Hailee Bonnell of Cranbrook BC, passed away suddenly on Tuesday January 2nd, 2024 in St. Georges NL at the age of 20. 

 

Mchayla leaves behind to mourn with many precious memories, her mother Tamara Archambeault (Gary Kyle). Her father Jason Turner. Her aunt and uncle Lorraine and Eric Ausman. Grandparents Lynn (Jim) Dunkley, and Jim Turner (Brenda Lovelette). Her siblings whom she loved very much, cousins and many other relatives. Her best friend Kursten Petrik and her partner Tristan Quinn. 

 

  Mchayla was born April 30th, 2003 in Cranbrook BC. She was a beautiful, happy and fun loving little girl. She spent most of her time chasing her brother Parker around and brought all of us so much joy. She had a great sense of humor and made everyone she met smile.

 

 At the age of 8 Mchayla moved with Lorraine and Eric permanently and went on to have many many adventures and a wonderful childhood. She had many friends throughout school and loved spending time with them. 

 

  At 18 she moved to Newfoundland to be closer to her mother and siblings. There she met Tristan and really enjoyed exploring different beaches, hiking and seeing the islands beauty. 

 

  Mchayla loved spending time with her younger siblings and did so often. She was an incredibly talented writer and loved to draw. She was so very intelligent and amazing at all she set out to do. 

 

  Mchayla was incredibly kind and so loving towards others, she always wanted to help when she could and had a beautiful heart. She was so strong and resilient and will so deeply be missed by all whose life she touched. 

 

  Mchayla is predeceased by her grandmother Corrine Archambeault and her step father Kenneth Chalmers.
